A bag of marbles. It's snowing out side and a good time to be had for all marble players. Go outside and dig a couple of holes in the snow. Than start playing. The main objective is to get all your marbles in the hole. You will be considered the winner or loser. It's a lot of fun in any kind of weather. If you haven't ever played marbles its not to late to start. There's a kid in each one of us. So be a kid.

Summer time at the beach is another perfect play in the sand and make a hole. Simple no batteries needed. Go figure.

Recycling glass is being reused in producing marbles for the west Virginia Marble Company.
The Marble King Factory located in Paden city. In 1949 was the first to produce marbles glass makers by the name of Berry Pink and Sellers Peltier opened their factory in St. Mary's, West Virginia. Than the factory moved to a new factory due to a fire 1958.

Roger Howdyshell bought the company in 1983. Than moved it to its present location.
Since that time his children now grown have taken over the business after his death in 1991.

Some marbles are used for various board games like Chinese checkers.
Marbles are collectibles the West Virginia Marble Collectors. The marble that was produced in the 1950's is a much sort after called them, "Bumble Bee Pattern".
